TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Acceptance of this Agreement: Upon payment of a deposit, the below terms and conditions are deemed to be accepted between the client and Tim the DJ Pty Ltd ATF Moore Gracie Trust.

  2. Deposit: An event date is not secured until a deposit has been received. The deposit is 100% refundable for 7 days after payment is made. After this period the deposit is not refundable.

  3. Payment: The final balance must be paid and processed in full 14 days prior to your event. Failure to provide payment in full prior may result in default cancellation.

  4. Rescheduling: In the event you reschedule your event, and I am available, the deposit is transferable. However I reserve the right to amend the quote for your new event date (for example, if you change your event date from July to November the following year). If you reschedule your event and I am not available on your new event date, the deposit is not refundable (but I am most happy to provide a recommendation for other DJs).

  5. Cancellations: If you cancel your event, please notify me as soon as possible. If you cancel within 60 days of your event date, 70% of the outstanding balance is payable (to compensate for lost income). Special exceptions can be made in extreme circumstances (such as a Force Majeure event), and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  6. Illness or injury: If I’m subject to a serious illness or unexpected emergency, I will replace myself with a substitute DJ and still honour the booking (I won’t leave you high and dry – I have an awesome network of kick ass DJs). In the highly unlikely event a replacement cannot be found, a full refund will be provided.

  7. Performance times: All packages conclude at 11pm. Overtime can be mutually agreed to, however extensions requested on the night cannot be guaranteed.

  8. Sound Production: I provide all sound equipment. However if your event is for over 250 guests (such as a corporate event or my family Christmas), a third party AV provider is highly recommended.

  9. Meals: If I’m booked for over 4 hours and your event is catered, I kindly ask that I’m provided a meal (i.e. feed me and I’ll be full of energy for the dance floor!).

  10. Equipment: My equipment must not be operated or interfered with by yourself or any guests. You’re a good person so I’m sure it won’t happen, but if my equipment is damaged because of any unreasonable act or unauthorised use by you or your guests, I reserve the right to invoice you for repairing or replacing any damaged equipment.

  11. Power: Standard household power from a reliable power source must be available within a reasonable distance (up to 5 metres) of the performance area. At my discretion, I reserve the right to discontinue performance if the power provided is not capable of safely operating equipment. For the avoidance of doubt, I do not provide a generator.

  12. Protection from weather: This should be obvious but is often overlooked (especially for marquee weddings) – you must ensure that DJ equipment is fully protected from the elements. Mother nature is spontaneous, and DJ equipment does not agree with direct sunlight or rain. So please ensure if your wedding reception is outdoors, that I am located inside the marquee (with a side wall). If this is not provided and I consider my equipment is at risk, I reserve the right to not perform and no refund will be available. Please do not hesitate to ask me in the lead up about what cover is suitable. (Tired of reading yet? We’re nearly there!)

  13. Sound restrictions: Your chosen venue may have sound restrictions that I will need to adhere to, or require me to use their sound equipment. As a result, I cannot be responsible for any volume limits or sound quality issues that may impact the service I provide.

  14. Health & Safety: I love to see dance floors go off, but I will not be held liable for any injuries sustained by attendees. I have a no dickhead policy, so I reserve the right to cease performing should any physical or verbal abuse be made by guests.

  15. Set up/pack down: I’ll require access to the venue for a minimum of 60 minutes prior to the performance start time to set up, and 60 minutes post performance to pack down. You won’t be charged any additional fee for this time.

  16. Quote Validity Period: Any quote provided is valid for 7 days.

I like to keep things fun and simple but to protect you, my fabulous client, and myself I just need to spell some things out in detail.
